And I’m Off!

Wow, what a crazy start to this adventure! Not one of the three alarms that I set last night woke me up this morning and I ended up getting to the airport later than planned. But I definitely did not have to worry about missing my flight because they informed us that someone failed to show up for work and we ended up taking off 45 minutes late. My parents and sister Bria came to the airport with me bright and early to send me off. Mike and Stacy Sweeney also surprised me at the airport and came to pray for me and say goodbye. I ‘m so encouraged knowing that so many people will be praying for me during this adventure!

I’m currently sitting on the tiny plane that will hopefully bring me to Denver in time to make my connection. There may be running involved! I have to say this is one of the more interesting crowds I have ever flown with—but oh so typical of Williston. It is me, the flight attendant, and 25 guys!

I’m so happy the packing is done and I’m finally on my way! In just a few short hours I will be meeting the team members that I will be spending the next 4 weeks with. I’m looking forward to making some new friends! I will be spending the next 2 nights in Atlanta and then taking off for Nairobi on Thursday. It’s still hard for me to believe. I’m on my way to Africa :)
