The Countdown Begins!

Hey everyone! Finals are almost over and summer is almost here! And that means that my adventure in Africa is starting soon. I will be updating this blog as often as I can this summer. I am excited to be able to share my experiences with you! I appreciate all of the support and prayer I have received from many of you and I will be asking for continued prayer throughout the summer.

I will start off by posting the timeline and agenda of my trip. The first month I will be on a Mediquest team from Africa Inland Mission. The rest of the summer I will be working with Shattering Darkness in Burkina Faso.

May 9: I will be returning to Williston to spend a few days with the fam and doing some last minute packing.
May 15: I will be flying out from Williston to the Africa Inland Mission in Atlanta where I will be in training and attending orientation for a couple days.
May 17: My team and I will depart for Africa!
May 18: We will land in Nairobi and my Mediquest team will begin our 4 week expedition throughout Kenya and Tanzania.
June 18: My time with my Mediquest time will end and I will fly to Ougadougou, Burkina Faso where I will be greeted by Lynn. We will travel 6 hours to Diebougou, Burkina Faso where I will be living for the remainder of the summer.
July 15: My good friend Kayla will be joining me in Diebougou!
July 26: The medical team from Williston will arrive and Kayla and I will join them in putting on a week long traveling medical clinic.
August 3: I will depart for Paris with the Williston team. We will spend a day layover touring Paris!
August 5: I will board a plane heading for Atlanta and begin my journey home.
August 6: I will attend a short debriefing in Atlanta before catching my flight back to Williston.

I am so excited to see what God is going to do in my life and in the lives of all the amazing people I will meet!
